Default matlab manual

Hi..
Does anybody have a tutorial or knows a link where I can get a manual as a reference for programming in matlab. I find the help in matlab too difficult to understand & secondly, it is too vast.
Also if anybody knows any good discussion forum like this one, but for matlab, I can probably read thru doubts others have posted & get acquainted with matlab.
Kindly help...
