Default 3.3v regulator

I know LM3940 5V to 3.3V regulator, but... is there any other IC that converts any input voltage to 3.3V like 7805 does for 5V ??

Thank you

There are lots. Go to DigiKey and search on "3.3v voltage regulator".

LD1086V33 is the best equivelant I've found. You can get it from Mouser.com.

Watch out, because it has different pinouts that the 7805.

..or LD1084V33 for a higher amperage. Also watch out, different pinout again.

Assuming you are looking for TO-220 package.

Google for micrel. They have very good 3.3V regulators with very low noise, optimum for RF applications.
