hi all,i would like to build a simple amp that is very sensitive and could pick up voices from across a room,could anyone point me to some good diagrams please.thanks.

 

Go to google image search and type in FM transmitter.

The preamps on those transmitters are quite sensitive.

If it is sensitive enough to pickup voices from across a room, then it will also pickup echoes, the refrigerator motor, the air conditioner or furnace, radios playing, cars driving by and all kinds of other noises. You need to use a very directional microphone for distance, like a "shotgun" or "parabolic reflector" type. Then you can add some gain.
