this is a little old, but a negative resistor could be battery?

No,

R=V/I

If the current through a device increases when the voltage increases, (ignoring complex impedances), you have a positive resistance.
If the current decreases when the voltage increases, or the voltage decreases when the current increases, you have a negative resistance.
An ideal battery will supply any amount of current with no change in voltage. All (good) batteries actually have small but finite positive internal resistance, so they look like an ideal battery in series with a positive resistance.
