| I just wondered if µP controlled ignition cars could be started without a battrey....by pushiung it down the road... If ignition is timed by µP will it work ? I know this is an electronics form....but still woindered if some one could say something...

| Probably not 'without' a battery, even if the engine started the excessive output of the alternator would probably blow all the electronics on the car!. But with a flat battery, assuming there's enough charge to run the electronics, you should be able to do it. | |

| Maybe yes, maybe no. It depends how low the battery is. And of course definitely not if it's an automatic. | |
