Default General Nodal Analysis with Voltage Sources?

    Hi,

I know how to find the nodal voltages in a circuit with no voltage sources using a general method. However, I can't find a general method of doing it when there are voltage sources. Most, method just include the cases where you have a voltage source in series with a resistor, but what if you have a voltage source in parallel with a lot of nodes (resistors), current sources etc?

    Thanks
    -Peter

P.S Whilst on the topic, is there a way to find a transient response of a circuit easily? (capacitors, inductors, voltage sources and current sources)??

Combine all the parallel resistors into one equivalent resistor, then you know how to do it. Look up Thevenin's Theorem also. The easiest way to compute transient response is to use a SPICE program. Check out Switcher Cad III from www.linear-tech.com
