Problem with DTR(20) ....serial port pic programmer. - Electronic Circuits Projects Diagrams Free

Hello

I want to build this circuit:

It`s a pic programmer that is connected to the serial port. And this is also the problem that I have. I don`t know where to connect the DTR(20) wire . I mean the serial port has only 9 connectors. 20 is only possible at the parallel port, or the number indicates something else.

Any suggestions?

It refers to the 25 pin version of the serial port. If you are using the 9 pin version, you will need to connect to the equivalent pin. Here is a cross reference:

Thanks zevon8, that was very helpful. I didn`t know that there are two diffrent types of serial ports avaliable.
