Default This is how to add your schematics to your posts.

If you do this it should work ...
have your schematic on the screen..
    press <ctrl> & <print screen> at the same time.
    go to MS paint
on the 'EDIT' menu, select 'paste' - screengrab is pasted from clipboard
select your picture with the dotted box just below edit..
then go to 'EDIT' select 'copy'..
go to 'FILE' and select 'new'.. then answer ' NO' to save
back to 'EDIT' and select 'paste'
back to 'FILE' select 'save as...'
select JPG or GIF and add a file name..
now you have your file saved..be sure you know where you saved it to or else you'll never find it again..
go back to the electo tech forums click 'add attachment' (near bottom of screen)
click browse.. click on your file click preview
    click submit..

In Win98se you just press printscreen, this copies the current screen to the clipboard.

yeah, I know, but alt+printscreen just copies the current window, rather than the whole screen. I assumed this was what williB was trying to do, but accidently typed 'ctrl' by mistake. It seemed worth pointing out especially as this topic is now a sticky!

well, as I say, in windows 98se, pressing ctrl+prntscreen does nothing. So alt would be the correct one. However, I don't know about other operating systems - it may differ.

    PrintScreen copies the whole screen
Alt+PrintScreen copies only the current window
Ctrl+PrintScreen is the same as PrintScreen as this isn't a valid shortcut

This is all true to my knowledge on all versions of Windows

Ctrl+Printscreen isnt required, you are correct, but using it doesnt effect it either..
i allways used ctrl + Printscreen out of habit but using just Printscreen on XP works fine.

Hi Guys, I've been posting attachments for about 6 months and today I couldn't attach anymore. I found out that I reached my upload limit of 200MB. So I deleted a bunch of old ones so now I can attach more.
I pity anyone who looks at one of my old posts. My attachment to it is gone!
