i have a c player in my car but if i listen to it when the ignition is on it switches off and on again when i start the engine. how can i get past this?

 

It's supposed to do that, when you turn the key to start, the car will disconnect everything else that draws power to give as much juice as possible to the starter.

you'll have to connect the power wire to something that doesnt lose power when you start it. It's still gotta be switched though so that you can accidentally leave the player on and kill your battery.
