 help on this plz hi friends... i am planning to do a project on remote control using telephone....i got the circuit from the following link http://electronicsworld.tripod.com/r...trolsckt2.html my problem is that i can't get an IC (IC KT 3170) from my local market... plz inform me of any ics which i can use as a substitute.... a better version of the same if available is also highly welcome...plz also let me know if there is any way to simplify the circuit...it can be even at the cost of a decrease in the no of appliances to be controlled... expecting ur sincere support...

| Go to Google and do a search for "DTMF decoder chip" one such alternative to the KT3170 I found is MT8870 from Mitel. I am sure there are many others available also, as control via dtmf is rather common. Dialtone | |
