I bought 50 2n3904's n 50 2n3906's on ebay for $7.50, plus s&h. After i'd done this, I was told that this was nota very good idea, fortunately, the transistors worked fine. I looked @ mouser.com to see if I can buy parts in bulk like that for that cheap, but couldnt find anything along those lines. Are there any websites that are this cheap?

duh could be...but I do not know of any except maybe surplus places. I got a bunch of transistors from the Electronic Goldmine in their goldpaks. but they do not tell you what you are getting.

 

just checked it was 50 2n3905's for $1.50

 

Jameco has them listed for $0.54 for 10 or $3.70 per 100 ( pn 62287cx)
