How to build energymeter(household) for energy/units measurements?
What is basic design idea?
Can we build it using microcontroller?

first of all, dont make cross posts across the whole forum.

yes we can make an energy meter with a microcontroller. and in my opinion a microcontroller based solution will be more efficient and accurate.

there is an aplication note at microchips website which describes a PIC controlled energy meter. the use of this application note assumes prior knowledge of PIC microcontrollers.
