Has any one ever used wireless RX/TX modules from Laipac?

I have a RLP/TLP916 ASK module that is not working anywhere near advertised values.
The data sheet as well as the webshop that I got them from say that the max transfer rate is 200kbps.
I am putting in a square wave from a function generator and am unable to get a stable output for anything
above 15kHz. I am lost. Datasheet says it works up to 200kbps. I got it because I needed a short
range (less then 2 feet) 80kbps transmitter.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong or wheather or not this is a common problem or not?
