| Hi, May i know the differences between sinc & sin? Can we manually plot a graph of x(t) = 5sinc(t)? Please advise. Thank. | |

| sinc = 1 , x=0 = sin(pi*x)/(pi*x) , otherwise There's another definition without the pi's. Google "sinc function" to get some better explanations and graphs. It's just a sine function that dies out over time, in positive and negative x-direction, and its symmetric about y-axis. | |

| sinc is just sin(x)/(x) there is nothing special abt dropping pi - look let x = y*pi Sin(y*pi)/(y*pi) it is a very nice function and when you get a 3D plot that is animated very nice | |
