Hello evryone. I have a DSL modem, and I didn't want it to be on continously, so I made a switch that opens and closes the phone line going to the DSL modem. Would the switch slow down my internet @ all?

no. If it's a transistor your using you want to make sure that the freq responce leaves you some head room, if its just a switch , electrically it's just another junction, like the phone jack itself.
