Have you built the circuit I posted, or are you still asking about your schematic? If you're talking about your schematic, I need to see
ALL values on the schematic - Inverter part number, transistor part numbers, load resistance value, battery voltages, and anything else that is relevant, before I can answer your question.
If you build my circuit, M2 won't get hot and burn up unless your load resistance is too low for the transistors to handle.
