Default Why am I still getting e-mail notices of replies?

I changed my Default Thread Subscription Mode to "no email notification" several days ago, but I am still getting them. What's up with that?

Thanks,
Ron

Maybe it just disables auto-subscriptions to threads in the future, but you are still subscribed to some active threads before you made the change.

Why don't you want email notifications?

Guys, I think he's trying to ditch us!

If he was trying to ditch us, I'm sure he would block the email address.

I find email notifications annoying. I visit this site at least three times a week (often a lot more, like once - twice a day), and the first thing I do is click the new posts button.

Hiya Ron,
Eh mate I had the same problem and I ended going into my user cp and deleting all the treads I was subscribed too. Then the next time I made a post under the subscribtions I picked do not subscribe. Problem fixed.

Too Easy mate but frustrating finding out how to fix it.

Cheers Bryan

What if you want to subscribe to the threads, so that they appear in your User CP, but you don't want email notifications?

I have exactly the opposite problem, I am subscribed, have "email notify" and am not getting emails. I used to but went on vacation so I turned it off but deleting the subscribed emails. When I re-enabled it, nothing.

In my case, Dknguyen was correct.
