i have recently received an email that is worring me. the email is posted below because I wanted people to be aware of this.

the email also posted a picture of the front page so I can tell that it wasn't a random postage. what really worries me is that it was posted to me as if i owned this site. this may sound a little wierd but i would like to clarify that i DO NOT own this site. I did not want people getting the wrong thing in their head.

Kieran, its a spam message. They somehow skimmed this forum to get your e-mail address.
Whatever you do, NEVER reply to such a message. If you do, you have confirmed to them that yours is a valid address and they promptly sell it on to other spammers.
Best advise is to ignore and delete the message.

also i want to tell you that what it says that the forum is not listed on search engines....well.....it is.
try a search on google, for your usename, or something that wil lead to this forum, and you wil see the results.
oh, and by the way, i got a message similar to this and i just deleted it and used the command 'This is spam' so that it will be directed to the spam folder if it comes again.

Hello Peeps :-)

Yes, these emails are spam and it’s very annoying. The reason you are receiving spam is because each post shows your email address for robots to pick up. If you hover over the email link you will see your email clearly.

Okay, so this is a bit of a problem and I am going to remove the email buttons for each post. That way people can contact you via PM and email spiders cannot get your addresses.

I am sorry for not knowing about this problem earlier!
