production radios have not used that crap in many years.

Now they use http://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tas5706.pdf

Now since you have no way of handling that one, I would recommend http://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tpa3122d2.pdf

The SoloX 18'"speaker is a lightweight one (100 pounds). The MTX Jackhammer is more than 3 times its weight and handles more power.

Are these manufacturers crazy? 5,000W RMS and 6,000W RMS in a car?
