The transformer was used in portable radios made in 1958. There is an electronics surplus store with old junk like that in my city. Some places online have old junk still in stock.

Hi, in many sites i find couple of circuits diagrams. High Voltage Stun Gun Stun Gun, Electronic Dazer, High Voltage Stun Gun Schematics - Compare Our Prices A Basic Stun Gun Concept Im need a white spark (or white-yelow) in other purposes, not to shock somebody May somebody ansver me what im need to build to get white spark on distance 4-6cm? Hi! i find this circuit that is a little bit different from the one at the start of this post, i want to know if this would work better, thanks P.S.: sorry for bad english

| IT is also JUNK.

The circuit has a maximum amount of power output which is low. When you stepup the voltage then the output current is reduced by the same amount. High voltage at low current is a tickle, not a STUN. A STUN is a high voltage at a fairly high current.

But if when i stepup the voltage the current stepdown how i can stepup the voltage without stepdown the current too much? the stun gun works with a 9v battery like this circuit so how i can do this? i think i must use 2 transformers is correct? P.S.: sorry for bad english ![]() EDIT: in the circuit i posted i should obtain 30kv at 8amp it's not enough? Last edited by morpheus88; 28th January 2009 at 09:02 AM.

i tought it was too high to be real ![]() can i ask you last questions? this should be better? i think that with 2 transformer this should be a good one or i'm wrong? http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/3281/stungunpc9.gif Last edited by morpheus88; 28th January 2009 at 01:15 PM.

Probably better, but still only minute current (as it's supposed to be) - you can't create power, only makes losses of it - so in all cases you get less power out than you provide the circuit in the first place. As the voltage goes higher, the current gets lower.

i've understand this but i've seen a really stun gun work with a 9v battery take out 50kv, i don't know how much current were but it surely would let you on the floor so how it's possible?

The amount of current is tiny, you don't want high current that would kill people.

I was wondering if I could use (MET-01) as the transformer for this circuit? Mouser part # 838-MET-01 Digi-Key part# MT4143-ND Wha'da'ya think? Any comments? Last edited by Mr. Dude; 5th February 2009 at 04:53 AM.

| As you don't have your location filled in how could we know?.

Sorry, my bad! I live in Greece, Athens. The law is definitely different from the U.S. for example for real guns at least (not permitted here) but i have no idea about a stun gun? I thoink i heard it was illegal here but i am not sure
