That is not a good Idea for this type of circuit, especially if you want a compact stun gun.

All you need is to make a board.

its an audio transformer and i seen them tons of times

last time i saw one it was in a broken tv and i think i saved it

now i have to find it

it looks to be a transistor but i want to be sure before i get one from radioshack

It's a very common NPN power transistor, 3A 40W, in a TOP66 package.

The transformer is a driver transformer, NOT an output one.
