Why so many questions?

0 & 1, the inductance and the nature of the transformer's core will deturmine the optimum frequency and duty cycle.

2, what's a trafo? Ah I see you mean a transformer, that took me a couple of miniutes to figure out. Please avoid using abbreviations like that, they make your post harder to understand.

10, this generates voltages far higher than 400V a 400V capacitor would explode.

14, connecting them in series will work up to the point where the insulation between the primary and secondary breaks down.

21, I doubt this will work from 1.2V, use a disposable camera flash unit for low voltages.

I really don't know what you are talking about which reguards to some of your questions, are you refering to what someone else has said? If so then please quote them.

Hero999, i apriciate your answers. My huge questions because i'm really obsessed with high voltage project. Being able to get 800V from just 2.4volt source ( 2 AA Nimh battery) is my dreams comes true. Please, answers my questions above to help me build this project

Leonar,
Are you going to make this "stun" gun project?
Its 555 IC has a minimum supply voltage of 4.5V, so it certainly will not work from only 2.4V.

Too many noob questions. Learn about electronics and answer the questions yourself.

Seems our "electroMaster" audioguru is too arogane that he doesnt want to help me built this project, i really need these answers.

You can't learn years of electronics from a single post in a forum - you need to start from the bottom and LEARN.

Multiple questions rarely get an answer, because if you have to ask multiple questions you don't have the knowledge to understand the answers.

I come here to discuss new electronic circuits. Not to teach the basics of a useless and very old circuit to a nooby.

It only seems like a lot of questions because he posted them four times!

23 questions is way too many for such a stupid simple circuit.

stupid simple circuit? So, audioguru can you show better and "clever" stun gun? Is it possible to add some voltage multipliers at the secondary transformer used here?

This circuit uses a tiny transformer from an old portable radio. It is only about 50mW max so its output current is only about 62.5uA which is next to nothing.
Adding a voltage multiplier would reduce the current to much less.

I think a real powerful circuit has been posted in this topic.

Look back through this thread for the answer.

I'm sure audioguru has better things to do than designing silly stun gun circuits.

The sparker from a piezo lighter makes a much stronger zap than this silly little circuit.
