 RF remote switch for mercury vapor light - 120 ft. distance I am looking for a product to build or buy that will turn a 175 watt mercury vapor light on and off by remote. The distance is approximately 120 feet with no obstructions. I will mount the receiver in a weather proof location or enclosure as required. The light is mounted on the same pole that my house service disconnect is mounted on. The light and the receiver power will come from a small panel fed from the service disconnect. I would greatly appreciate any help or advice. | |

| A mercury vapor light is really noisy, you could turn it on OK but might have trouble turning it off. An optical link might be better.
