 I need help Keyboard encoding using 74148 IC Hi, Does anyone know how to cascade the 74148 (8 line-to-3 line priority encoder) IC to obtain a 16 line -to- 4-line encoder with a separate output pin for indicating when a valid data is available(ie when a button is depressed? I could not get my hand on any keyboard encoder chip around here that's why I have resolved to usning the 74148. Any suggestion would be appreciated. I added a cct diagram of an idea i stumbled upon sometime ago(that did not work for me at least!). I though it might be of help in explaining what I need. Thanks Maleeq Nigeria | |
