Default Phone Speaker-phone

Hi

I would like to build a speaker phone so that i don't have to sit around with the phone on my ear when on hold when on the phone.

As I see it, you can have as many phones as you like listening to the line at once, so while one normal phone would simply be put down on a table (without hanging up), a device could be plugged into a spare phone extension socket, amplify the signal a bit, then feed it into the line in socket on my computer.

Would this work (I am in England, in the UK)??

does anyone happen to have any circuit diagrams for this kind of thing lying around?

Thanks

Tim

I think you can drive it directly in the mic or line-in on the computer
