I am looking for a circuit that will allow me to simulate a 0-24mA current.

Do you need to source or sink current? Or have the option of either?

thanks guys for your prompt infos, i will be using this to simulate flow and pressure sensors having a 4-20mA output. We do have instruments to do this but i'd rather have one that is handy. Again thank you so much for your support.

Here is a simple one.. .. and tested
The 1k pot sets the output current (3.8 to 21 mA). - Ali Sajjad |

I like it. Note that 1k resistor should be 1Watt and the 1k pot
should be wirewound. It would be better to use PNP circuit so that separate power source is only optional instead of required (just about all electrical cabinets are already equiped with 24VDC power supply, so you only need pair of aligators). |
