Hi all,
I want to make a burglar alarm circuit in which the moment an unauthorised person enters a house an alarm call is sent to the cell phone of the house owner. I have no problems with the burglar alarm ciircuit but i do not have any idea as to how i can connect the alarm circuit to a modem so that it can dial to the cell phone. Please help!

You can buy these off the shelf, you are looking for a dialer, most alarms have these dialers built in so not all places might stock just the dialer part on it own (on its own it is called a "slave dailer" should be the same price as a normal modem)

Or you could use a GSM/GPRS modem and send the alarm notification via a text message.
