I wod like to make my first radio project.I think RC is cool.

But recivers are complicated so i want to make a AM transmiter.

I wod go for FM but the FM band has almost no free freqences.Wile the MW band is all free.

So i want to make a trasmiter that transmits on the MW band(AM modulation is on the MW)

I want it to:
-transmit to 50 - 200 m
-be simple
-be bult from basic parts(capacitators,resistors,transistors,iductors)
-ferite free(i dont have a freite rod)
-a carbon mic

PS:
I have a mic that is a litle biger than a watch batery.its from an old mabile phone.Cod it be a xtal mic?

The problem is i dont have a variable capacitator or inductor. so it going to be trycky to get the right freq on the FM band (almost no free freq).I think the 89 Mhz is free
