you did not specify what amp you are referring to, however i will presume it is an IC amp, but then again we dont know what IC amp is that. the usual way is to put a feedback resistor. here is the formula to use to calculate the gain: for Non-inverting input - Gain = 1 + feedback resistor/resistor in for Inverting input - Gain = feedback resistor/ resistor in hope this would help
