I need to design a circuit to rock a cot when it hears a baby cry for my GCSE systems and control coursework HELP!!!!

Since it is for your coursework, you should make an attempt to come up with a reasonable high-level design that for instance includes: your actuator, sensors, and how you are going to interface/control the devices. Then post your design and others will help you go through it.
