Dear all

I am recently involved to construct a control device for an actuator in a strong magnetic enviorment.

For the sensing of the movements I hope to use an incremental encoder for the job. however, when i wanted more information on it, i can only find some brief description on it in some mechatronics book.

I wanted some reference on this topic on the most up to date methods, as i understand there are several ways to aling the grid or sensors which gives slightly different characteristic.
Any help on this it would be very very much appreciated.
