 Selection of proper wire for Ferrite core Please help me that how do I determine proper wire size in SMPS for building a ferrite core transformer. | |

| Amidon, among others, has a handbook that describes the construction of some kinds of transformers. Clearly the wire must be large enough to handle the expected current and provide the DC resistance needed. Another issue related to size - just how much you can wind on your core.
