 My class fellow did this project in the Microcontroller Course! What he did was that he interfaced serial port with a 89c51. Next he used 4 small relays to trigger the four buttons of the remote of the r/c car! The relays were controlled by the micro controller. He wrote a PC application in .NET to send commands through the serial port to the micro controller.

| i agree.... the most simple design would be to make ur comp send some sort of commands to the microcontroller.... a PIC would be a nice one to start off with... | |
