| in some op-amps (say the uA741), some pins are shown as NC (No Connection pins)... if at all certain input is given to this pin, will it deteriorate the working of the circuit in which the op-amps are placed??? for example.... if i ground all the NC pins, will the operation of the circuit be spoiled?? kindly help.... | |

| “will the operation of the circuit be spoiled??” The answer is defiantly YES or NO. Some ICs, the NC pins are not connected inside the part. Some ICs, the NC pins are connected to test points inside the part and should not be used. Some ICs, the NC pins are connected to the substrate. It is never clear if the pins are not connected or if they have a hidden function and YOU should not use them. | |
