Smile Project P24 Robot Arm

I'm a totally noob at this i don't know anything thing about robotics. So bare with me. The only thing i have been doing with electronics are from my Nitro RC, RC tc4, RC truck, RC buggy, and RC micro-t. With some speed controller, servo, and motor.
But I'm really good at building..... Very Happy
I'm trying to build an robotic arm out of wood with one speed control, one motor, and one servo. I know...thats all i have, i don't want to be so hard and technical.
It's for school project but I'm also going to make it for my self. Very Happy
I'm only 13 so the wood cutting would be up to my dad.
Does anyone have any basic ideas???
I will take pictures of what I've done every step of the way. Like a project log.

*please be positive, and no bad attitude*
