Hello everybody.. i need build a circuit that let me send sound using a laser...
PD: Sorry for my bad english, i live in latinoamerica...

I have never tested it, but it is wortha try. If the parts are too expensive, be sure you study up on it!

mmmm... thank men.. but , i dont know.. it like very dangerous and i prefer the second.. do you think that it can works??

but you can't know if it's working or not until you try it
You should know the laser receiver circuit doesn't work just by looking at it:
1) Its opamp has its (+) input connected to its negative supply pin so it is incorrectly biased and won't work. Adding a negative supply will simply fix it but adding two resistors to bias it at half the supply voltage and adding an output coupling capacitor will also fix it.
2) The opamp is inverting which has a very low input impedance. Then it has hardly any voltage gain. Using the opamp as a non-inverting amplifier that has a high input impedance with lots of gain and biased properly would fix it.
3) The LM386 power amp is missing important parts.

Don't tell me it uses the 741 as well?

Use the TL071 as it's much better.

wooooooo.. i don't underestod... please anybody can post de full diagram ???
The laser receiver should have been designed like this:

Free Space optical communication.
used for short distances and air trnspots laser signal instead of Optical fibre. you can very well use it.
only you take care of the power output should not damage someone.
Any obstruction will intrrupt the communiction.

mmm the truth is that i will use a laser diode from a CD player.. but the money is short.. i will construc in december...Thanks everybody...
PD: the post still open to listen more opinions about this idea..

Fogonazo: asi es, hay que buscar en varios foros...
Nidel Godwin: Hey men, yes i get a laser diode from a CD player.. Try it.. is very poderfull, only with 3 volt you can get a burning laser..

Thanks Audioguro!!! of that way migth work??
It will probably work but it might be too sensitive. The sensitivity is 1/10th if the 10uF capacitor is removed from pin 1 and pin 8 of the LM386.

I would never make a simple Laser communicator:
1) The laser beam must point exactly at the receiver. If you bump it then it might move a little then it doesn't work.
2) It is ordinary analog transmission which picks up interference from AC powered lights and many other lights.
3) It is mono, not stereo.
