Default Frequency meter ?

I want Frequency meter , from 1 Mhz to 1Ghz or Higher !

How I know CRISTAL Frequency , are you have Circuit Diagram ?
( it can from Hz to Ghz ) .

Default high-frequency counters

As tanveerriazs' post shows, you can build a frequency counter to cover this range if a suitable prescaler is used on the front end. Finding appropriate test leads is another matter that deserves close attention, as does the PCB layout of the prescaler section. Schematics leave out some important details, physical layout is critical at these frequencies.

You need a prescaler or freq. divider, but before you do that you must first insert the analog signal into an schmitt trigegr (hope spelling is rigth). After that use windowing theory and latch the reading.
