Default Brushless dc motor controller

i had to build a low voltage brushless dc motor controller as a part of my project, i am bit confused where to start from as i have gone through various site and they were not very helpful as where to start from. so if u guys would help me in starting it would be very great.

First start off with that type of motor ? Has it got a sensor or just three wires ?

Secondly what size is it ? Voltage / current requirements.

What do you want to control it from ? Servo from an RC controller ? PC ? PWM from some microcontroller ??
