Default PIC16F84a Game Module

Hey,

Here is a game module I recently made.

I was sick of it (the 8x8 LED matrix) taking up my breadboard so I decided to make it permenant.

Specs: (From top of board down)
(1) Power = 9v battery
(1) Toggle Slide Switch
(1) 9v Buzzer
(1) 200hm: Trimmerpot (for buzzer volume control) ( should be 500hm
(1) NPN (2n3904) To interface buzzer with PIC
(1) 8x8 RED LED matrix (common anode)

Left to right
(1) ULN2803 (transistor array) to increase LED brightness
(1) 4017 decade counter (for column control)
(1) PIC16F84a
(1) 4mhz XTAL
(2) 15pf caps (for xtal)
(8) 330hm: (Row current limiting resistors)
(1) 7805 (1amp) used for logic chips
(2) normally open momentary push button

The crystal leads are very fragile (the first one snapped off) I used a hot glue gun to unsure no movement.

With this module I am going to program The following games:

-Snake
-Tetris
-Space invaders
and Parachute

I cant wait for the day I pull this thing out in class

If you have anything like this - please post some pics, I would love to see your design.

If you would like the schematic or PCB design let me know.

Please dont post a reply if your just going to cut this design down. I am not an engineer (yet)

I am just having fun.

Hi,
I've read your information above with great interest. I am just starting out in electronics and your project looks very exciting. Can you send me a schematic so that I can have a go at building the project and in return I will send any projects I build in the future.
Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Hi msbansal,

I made the circuit off the top of my head, therefore give me a couple of days to complete the schematic and I will post it in this forum.

Cheers
