My Wavetek DMM is acting up. It doesn't respond to certain functions.
Does someone have any experience repairing DMMs?
I thought I asked before tackling it myself.

Most DMMs I have seen have ASIC molded directly onto the PCB and there is no way to replace this IC while some DMMs use DMM ICs like 7107 and some others too. If your meter uses any of these ICs then it is possible to replace it if its faulty.

The other common problem with DMMs is the faulty rotary switch. Check out if the contacts are oxidized and clean them.
