Default simple question ?

first of all . sorry for my language .

i want latch ic (i dont know may be not latch) make this operation

for example lets assume we have 1 input pin ( a ) and 1 output pin

( x ) . i will apply "1" to pin "a" with a switch then i want to make pin

"x" goes "1" . and when apply "1" again to pin "a" pin "x" goes "0" .

i need 8 inputs and 8 outputs ic . thats all .

If you are only ever using switches for inputs, I have found this works rather well.

The schematic I posted can easily be made to have 8 input and outputs, but if your using pulses and not switches specifically, it won't do. A PIC springs to mind as it would be simple and compact to implement if you already have knowledge of it and programming equiptment, but I can't help you with that as I have no knowledge of them myself.
