| Hi all first poster here Ok guys this is my plan, Ive read many site regarding permanent magnets with N - S 'tracks'. The process is a standard DC coil with an over lying AC current... My question is will the following be enough to magnetize ferrite? DC Coil A 2" Diameter Tubing 4" high, 2mm Enamelled Copper Wire, 30A Power Supply @ 45 Turns. Also does anybody know the equations to work out the amount of current a coil like that will pull?

| I have since found out the 45 turns will not be enough to create a decent MMF. Does anybody have any experience is Magnetizing any materials? especially ferrite.. Cheers
