I have 3 groups of 10 leds (Group A, B, C), in the first group led numer 3, 4 and 5 are on. (So is 3A, 4A, 5A ON) (I have to do the input with logical switches) With a switch the data has to be transfered to the second group, so led 3, 4 and 5 of group A go OFF and 3, 4 and 5 of group B go ON without delay (This is paralel I think). And last there is a second switch, when pressed the led 3 group B goes off, led 3 group C go on, led 4B goes off, led 4C on, led 5B off and led 5C on (Serial?). It has to work no matter the first input is. As you see, I'm a total newbie at this. Oh and can't use software either. It can be done? | |

Yes it can be done. I assume you are talking about mechanical switches, not electronic ones. If so, it can be done with 2 SPDT switches. Len | |

you can do it easlily with counter such as 4017. trigger buttons shoud be tied via diodes to input (OR block). when button is pressed, counter increments and at the same time looses input signal because previous output is low. to keep supply voltage low you can divide bank of 10 leds into two branches with 5 leds each (for example). if they are high efficiency (3-5mA) or you limit branch current sufficiently you can still drive them with the 4017 outputs - otherwise add transistors. tie output '3' to reset so that sequence repeats... | |
