I need to make a circuit that inputs two signals one sine wave approx 100 hz and a posistive pulsed signal 10 to 50 hz and outputs the sine wave only during the on time of the pulsed signal with off time period same as the pulsed signals off time. The frequencies may be different but will be in the low frequencies range. If you can give me an idea using ICs from the 1970s-1980s as I have quite a collection of these. Thank you Doug

Sorry .. Most cases under 5vpp,,I can use a voltage divider if over 5vvpp. Thanks Doug

I can't remember whether the 4016 analogue switch was produced then, but that's the obvious thing to use.

An updated version of the 4016 is the 4066, it has a lower on resistance. Either one should work fine with the pulse signal as the control signal.

Thanks I bread boarded the 4066 today and looks as it will do the trick. Thanks again Doug

You can parallel the switches for lower Ron if necessary
