The datasheet list is a great effort, but suppose you don't know the number of the device?. A famous electronics catalogue of some decades ago used to have the TTL logic families listed by description and you could then work out for yourself exactly what number IC you needed. I can't find this-way-round of doing things on the internet. Even the Wikipedia entry for the simple logic gates only gives a list of the numbers. Have I missed a trick? Is there a descriptive list (for the simple logic gates/decoders/counters) somewhere out there on the internet ? Assistance appreciated.

I've search the motorola website, freescale website and I have none.

The link is for data sheets of TMPZ84C00 and its varients. youy think TMPZ8004 and TMPZ84c00 are same? i already tried the datasheetcatalog, datasheetarchive,alldatasheet.com and others. but got no results for TMPZ8004.
