Hi,
while ago I found a pdf (on microchip site I believe) that explain the WXYZ code style for all PIC18F WXYZ uC's .. (IIRC of W was about RAM/ROM, X about functionality .. etc) .. I cannot find that page anywhere now  .. anyone knows the URL?

The only real code I know of are;
18F1xxx devices have 18 Pins 18F2xxx devices have 28 Pins 18F4xxx devices have 40 Pins PIC's that end with a 0 (eg, 18F1320 or 18F2550) have internal oscillators
