Power transistor alternatives - Electronic Circuits Projects Diagrams Free

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows two alternate transistors that could be used in place of the MJE371 and MJE521 transistors used in the circuit shown at http://www.armory.com/~rstevew/Publi...Guns/dazer.htm

This complementer-pair can handle 40V 4A, Ptot 40W.
Try substitute with BD241-242 if available.

Well, the BD's aren't very readily available in my area, only through a catalog (digi-key or similar).. I was kind of hoping for a 2N or 2S equivalent, do any of these exist? (get a lot of 2S's from old computer power supplies)
