Values fall into either E12 or E24...........viz:

E12....1, 1.2 1.5 1.8 2.2 2.7 3.3 3.9 4.7 5.6 6.8 8.2 and decades of.

E24......1.1 1.3 ........... you get the picture ?

Bogdan - try this : http://www.elexp.com/t_eia.htm

EIA (Electronics Industry Association?) seems to be either the keeper of this stuff or was at one time. Not sure why the progressions but may learn that eventually.

Bogdan - here's another one that seems to explain a rationale for the values. It makes sense - not sure if it's true.
