Default Wou you say the term "Limey" is offensive?

The British are called "limeys", and I was wondering if you thought this is offensive at all?

The Aussies call the English Pom apparently.

Why do they call Brits limeys, and do you find this offensive?

Why would anyone care, it's hardly something you ever hear these days, and as it refers to the reason that Great Britain was the worlds most successful naval power, and created the worlds largest empire, it's probably a compliment?.

Many immigrants from "a certain country" come to Canada crippled with crooked legs. Maybe they had a Vitamin C deficiency in their youth.

@AG
You are probably referring to disorder called rickets, which is due to lack of vitamin D. Vitamin C deficiency causes scurvy. Kraut (as in sauerkraut) is another source of vitamin C and is also a name affectionately applied to a particular nationality.

It is hot as hell and very sunny in the country where immigrants are crippled with crooked legs.

The sun makes vitamin D. I think those people have a deficiency of all vitamins and minerals (and protein). In Canada vitamin D is added to milk because the sun does not always shine. The crippled people have cows running in their streets.

A wanker is an insult to a guy who doesn't have a girl friend or wife.

Few of us have had any influence over what nationality we are. That was determined by our ancestors, politics, wars and crop failuers.
