Yes, it's easy to get around, as you say.. And also, i don't want the navigation to be a pain for normal visitors.

I am currently studying the alternative named "registeredCommons" it's not free, but, maybe it is worth it!

THe screen grab is a pain in the ass to do though if you have a lot of pictures spaced out so they can't fit onto the same window. I guess you could also watermark your entire picture with your name faintly in the background.

Without pictures they would probably move on and steal someone else's design. BUt you could always make your text a giant picture too and watermark that.

Or make it all java or flash or something so it just can't be copied period.

If all the text is pictures, i would have to consider this:
1-Each time there is a spelling mistake, i have to edit an image!!
2-Search engines cannot crawl the text in my pages
3-Pages will be very slow to load
4-I'll have to buy 10 times more bandwidth!!
5-It would take too much time and pain
6-I would end giving up writing/webmastering for the end of my days

1- THere is probably a program where it just generates the image for you and you have the document which you just type in new stuff and generate a new image.
2- True
3- Maybe...see 4
4-Maybe use monochrome images for the text or something so they are smaller
5-Easy = stealable, hard = harder to steal (but not unstealable!), everything has it's price unfortunately.

I'd just watermark the images so if they stole it, they'd stealing a bunch of boring text.

he copy pasted a whole article from my website, and claims he is a mechanbical engineer sharing HIS IDEAS.. my god when i remeber the nights i've spent writing this article, drawing all the graphics..

i don't care anymore, but it releifs my frustration to let the world know the truth........

Go to a site that has that. Right click the image. When the pop-up comes up saying you can't copy it, drag the window over the image. Now press down the left mouse button then the right (over the OK button). Release the left mouse button then the right, you have just bypassed the block.

One thing you could do is change any one of the images that he has directly linked to your site to say something defamatory about him. Almost all the images on his site are hosted on YOUR server!

I so agree, with Mike. What an excellent endeavor; what a terrific gift to all, and yet so abused by some. It really must hurt deep when people do this.
